Storm Warning
The big storm that was coming our way never made it. By the time it encountered all the mountains around us, it had fizzled. Rain to the south and west; storms to the north; here, an early morning sprinkle and gray skies. I can’t say that I am horribly disappointed to have missed out on what the weather forecasters were predicting, indeed what hit some coastal communities. Still, it would have been nice to have gotten some rain. We need it.

Anita, wonderful soft lighting and lovely rich dark background on the Peace Lily photo.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to send you some of the rain we're forecast to be having the next couple of days. :-)
Earl - Thank you so much for the comments on the photo.
ReplyDeleteThis is an indoor plant and I wish I could remember whether I used any fill lighting, or stuck with natural light. I suppose I will have conduct the experiment all over again. :)
THis image is just wonderful. Do you sell many prints of plants? For some reason, I thought you sold mainly horses and lamndscapes.
ReplyDeleteChris - Thank you. I went looking for something different and found this an October '08 folder. I had put it aside and never gotten back to it. I'm glad I did it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't shown any prints featuring plants up here. In the past, I sold only a very few small prints of flowers and grasses. You are so right that mostly my sales have been horses and landscapes.
Flat out magnificent, Light is perfect.
ReplyDeleteRay - Thanks for the comment. Wow. I may go looking through old files again—or do more indoor photography.
