Home Again

(Click on the thumbnail for the bigger, better version)

The Husband is home, safe and sound. I am smiling again. He sends his best to all who wished a speedy recovery. I assume chicken soup is appropriate for any period of recuperation. Right?

  1. Absolutely, Nurse Ratchet! ;) Chicken Soup is a cure-all! All hail the chicken! I'm glad to hear that he is home and doing well.

  2. Paul - Hmmm. Perhaps we should keep that Nurse Ratchet thing quiet. We don't want to give the patient any ideas, do we? :)

The Husband is a bit battered for sure, but in quite good spirits. Onward and upward!

  3. I hope all is going well. Keep that soup pot cooking.

I couldn't help but notice the remarkable similarity between this photo and my old stomping ground, the Bitterroot Valley in Montana. Very nice, but it's making me homesick. :(

  4. pj - Thanks for the comment. Chicken soup for lunch on the way. I am still new to life in valleys tucked amongst mountains. Remember I told you that we are only two hours north of you in Burbank. Still, it may as well be on another planet. I am sorry that the photo makes you homesick, but perhaps it will encourage to take a trip out of town. There is quite a lot more to southern California than Los Angeles. Come check out our neck of the woods. I hate to wish more homesickness on you, but you might enjoy the breath of fresh air.

  5. Anita...wonderful news and now it's up to you to see that he behaves and follows Doctor's orders.

  6. Earl - Annnnnd...Good luck with that. Chicken soup I can deliver. Getting this man to behave? That's far beyond my capabilities.

  7. Chicken soup? mmmmmmm! What time's dinner? But seriously, I'm glad he's doing well and it looks like he's in good hands.
By the way, that photo is fabulous. You are so blessed to live in such a gorgeous area. I like the cloud cover at the horizon.

  8. Ken - Uh, oh. I wondered about posting that chicken soup notice. Next time I had better throw in extra chicken.

The pair of us are a sight to behold. It is a contest to see who is most incapable of the smallest tasks. Thank goodness for those reacher gizmos.

Thank you for the comment on the photo. I am deeply grateful to live in an area rich with scenes like the one above. The move here came at a good time in my life, and I do feel blessed.

  9. Just read about your husband being away for surgery and though, oh my, haven't you guys already gotten your share of illness. I so do hope he will recover quickly, and for some reason, I have the impression he will.

Good to see you seems to be in such good shape. Soon, spring will be visiting also your region, and everything will be better with it.

  10. Ove - We do seem to be in a repeat pattern. But you are right about spring. We are having warm sunny days this week (in spite of nights in the 30's) and life is much brighter. The Husband is even being quite good and taking nice long naps.

  11. Anita, Just keep the chicken soup coming and he won't have time to misbehave.

  12. Steve - Thanks for dropping by—great to hear from you. Plenty of need for chicken soup around here, lately, but maybe not enough to keep him out of mischief.
