It certainly doesn't hurt to identify and name our intention. If they were thick and bushy in the Fall, that meant a rough Winter. The problem for me is that their tails always look bushy in the Fall, so I always predict a hard Winter. Maybe it's different with quails, I don't know. This is a great photo of a beautiful bird.
